About this place

2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, Garden with BBQ, Fishermans Cottage Tucked away on a quiet street, this adorable 2 bedroom cottage is situated in the heart of Broadstairs, just minutes from the town & beach. This charming place has a cosy lounge with smart TV, a separate dining room and compact kitchen (with dishwasher). Peaceful Garden with BBQ ✔ Central location ✔ Sandy beach ✔ Restaurants, cafes & bars on doorstep ✔ Situated on a quiet street with hardly any passing traffic, McEnroe Cottage is a welcoming home that makes you smile as you walk up to it with it's stunning blue painted exterior. Step into the cottage and you will open into the lounge... *Lounge* The cosy lounge has a comfy two seater sofa and two other occasional chairs. The Smart TV enables you to log on onto your Netflix accounts and watch your favourite TV shows. The large sash window looks out onto the street, with hardly any passing traffic and the odd person walking by on their way to the town 's many shops or the sandy Viking Bay. *Dining Area* The large dining table is perfect for a hearty breakfast, a home cooked dinner or fish n chips! The table seats 4 people. There is also a comfy chair where you can curl up and read your favourite book. *Kitchen* The compact kitchen has a large fridge/freezer, a cooker with hob, a small dishwasher and the usual toaster/kettle etc. All you need to rustle up a holiday meal. *Garden* A lovely courtyard garden with garden seating for 4 people, it is peaceful in the sunny little space and a perfect haven after a busy day on the beach. There is a BBQ for your use (please bring your own coals and clean up after use). *Stairs* The stripped wood staircase leads you to upstairs where you'll find 2 bedrooms and the shower room. Note the stairs are quirky in this old cottage and not suitable for the infirm. *Master Bedroom* Kingsize bed with comfortable mattress. There is plenty of storage with a chest of drawers and hanging rail. The large sash window adds lots of light to this room. * Twin bedroom* Across the landing is the twin room, which features two comfortable beds, a large cupboard for storage and hanging and a window that looks over the courtyard garden. *Shower room* Lovely, light and airy shower room - walk in shower, WC and basin with a mirror over. Guest access Full access to the house and garden. Other things to note The property was originally a fisherman's cottage and dates back at least 100 years. When entering the property you have a step down. The staircase is steep. Additionally it has a quirky step at the top where it changes levels and maybe difficult for the infirm to navigate. Young children will need to be monitored when going up and down the stairs. We have installed a retractable stairgate near the twin bedroom to protect young children from the stairs at night. We have a travel cot available for guest use, we do not provide linen or bedding for the travel cot.
